I was brought on toe Gnomes & Goblins by WEVR near the end of the project to add some rigging bits to their goblin character that would save them significant time and resources and improve the overall look of the character.

The armor is around 95% automated with the other 5% being interpenetration adjustments. That number varied depending on the cycle.

The existing rig on the goblin's bulbous eyes were giving animators some problems, so they asked me to tweak it. Like any good rigger would do, I rewrote it from scratch but it still worked with existing animation. It was just a bit more reliable in the end.

Animation of the eyeball backwards during blinks was a production preference.
