KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create fast, anatomically accurate, and ergonomic character animation rigs with various body plans.
  • Design user-friendly animation controls for all scenarios.
  • Write (or assist in writing) control interfaces for animators (LODs, Pickers, etc.).
  • Create anatomically accurate deformation rigs, bind meshes, paint weights, model and set up muscles.
  • Solve shot-specific issues (cloth solve, skin solve, shot sculpt).
  • Create and set up facial rigs.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Maya.
  • Basic animation skills and a deep understanding of why animators need various controls.
  • Ability to work in a team while independently planning your tasks.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in Houdini.
  • Experience with nCloth.
  • Technical English.
  • Interest in reading SIGGRAPH articles and materials.
  • Knowledge of Linux.
  • Script writing in MEL, Python, VEX, and other programming languages.
