KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create fast, anatomically accurate, and ergonomic character animation rigs with various body plans.
- Design user-friendly animation controls for all scenarios.
- Write (or assist in writing) control interfaces for animators (LODs, Pickers, etc.).
- Create anatomically accurate deformation rigs, bind meshes, paint weights, model and set up muscles.
- Solve shot-specific issues (cloth solve, skin solve, shot sculpt).
- Create and set up facial rigs.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in Autodesk Maya.
- Basic animation skills and a deep understanding of why animators need various controls.
- Ability to work in a team while independently planning your tasks.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in Houdini.
- Experience with nCloth.
- Technical English.
- Interest in reading SIGGRAPH articles and materials.
- Knowledge of Linux.
- Script writing in MEL, Python, VEX, and other programming languages.
