This is a remake of the Arc Rifle from district 9. My goal was to create a photo realistic version of the prop. The model was fairly quick to build with most of the time going into texturing and tweaking materials. Lighting is maya sun and sky with a spotlight projecting through several animated alpha layers of branches to get the shadows I wanted. Each board is modeled to add little kinks and bends that would be lost in a flat texture.

This is an Idea for a futuristic airport with planes and also launch bays for rockets. I started by piecing together the airport layout in Photoshop from satellite photos of YVR airport and then moved on to building each section in detail up to the baggage carts and a detailed communications array on the roof.

This is a greyknight from warhammer 40K. I used a figurine as well as references from concept art to maintain the artistic direction. I used cloth dynamics in maya to create the banners.

I had never attempted something like this before so this was a fun project. The clouds are maya fluids and its lit with hdri.
