Dust
Responsible for completing VFX shots from the beginning
to the end. Create tools for water FX. Generate several FX
of fluids, rigid bodies, and particles interacting between
each others. Use and modify existing assets for smoke and
particle simulations.

Ice System: I created an effective ice growing/receding FX
system for the shots. I added smoke, particles, and debris
elements to it. I shaded, lit, and rendered them all.

Water: I made a procedural system trying to effectively
recreate the look and motion of the water shot on set
using Vops and Ripple systems.

Fire, HeatHaze: I made the fire with Flowline
(MPC tool) while the heat haze was created in
Maya through sprites.

Smoke: I created several layers of simulations
interacting with the character, lit, and rendered
them.

I modified the rig made by my supervisor to work
on the shots assigned. It’s a procedural system
that morphs the geo with Vops and VDB
operations. I lit and rendered the shots.

The Huntsman's Winter War

Nixies: Using a rig made by M.Bruland, I completed several
shots modifying the rig for closeups or distant FX as needed.
Each fairy is made of particles, volumes and splines.
1:15-1:25
FX TD
Lattice animation of the speaker is driven
by a song in CHOPs. The FLIP fluid gets pushed
by the speaker and advected by custom
velocity. Colors are mixed through a microsolver
setup. Viscosity and Surface Tension are added
through custom setup with microsolvers.
Mesh is created with VDB.
