One the most complex shot I have done recently for the movie The
boss baby. Where there were two different hair style required to
morph from one to another. I used Maya and Houdini based
deformation achieve this.

Rise of the Guardians

The garment sim for the character North was done using Qualoth and
beard had a hybrid sim system using Houdini.
I was “feather rep” in India on this show The Rise of Guardians
The feathers on the character Toothfairy was simulated/solved using
Dreamworks Proprietary feather system.

Worked on jacket simulation using qualoth solver where 2 little fairies
are holding the character. Feather solve for tooth fairies and hair sim
for the character was done using Nhair. Also did shot finaling.

The garment sim for the character Jack was done using Qualoth and
Nhair. The feathers on the character Tooth Fairy was simulated/solved
using Dreamworks Proprietary feather system.

Worked on garment sim for the character.
Started with reversing the gravity of the solver when character is
upside down and once his lands on the ground a lot for goal shapes
were used to maintain the look.
Hairs were also simulated base on the motion

This shot of Brine from the movie Penguins of Madagascar was sim
using qualoth and added a little wind effect using Maya fields. As the
Director wanted a little bit of flutter effect on the jacket while Brine is
sliding down the ramp. Also simulated crowd character’s garments.

This shot was challenging because the character was rotating at a very
high speed and solver wasn't able to solve the frames. I used
properties and cache method to get the solve from qualoth. From the
movie Penguins of Madagascar .

The shot is from the movie Ramayana: The Epic. I groomed the hair
style and eyebrows for the character Ram for few of such trailer shot.

The long hair for character Ram was simmed using nCloth and Shave
and a Haircut.For Ncloth based simulation I wrote a MEL script that
creates a strip of polygon next to each guide and later these strips are
converted into Ncloth. The guides were then wrapped with those strips
to inherit simulation of Ncloth. Also worked on bow string and shot
finaling.

This shot is from the DVD special where fur was solved using
proprietary system(We call this method fur Smoosh), feather was sim
using nHair and chains were solved using nCloth.

This shot required a lot of scene finaling to flatten the skin and fur. I
combined different tools to achieve this specific flat look.
With use of Maya’s muscle system and deformers. I got skin solved
and then took that data to process fur flattening in Houdini.
The feathers for the bird( Nova) was solved using DW proprietary
feather system.

Houdini for the movie Rise of Guardians.

The fur solved using DW proprietary fur system and Fur smoosh
performed for SR character(Mort). The leaves skirt was sim using
Ncloth. The shot also required high amount of scene finaling due to
fur.
