Set extension matte painting: replaced the green screen with a painting of the neighborhood.

Heroes Reborn
Matte Painter
Created several matte painting passes of the Earth being destroyed by a solar flare. Passes include: Earth in light wiped with Earth in shadow, land mass holdout matte, cloud matte, city light pass, scorched Earth pass.
All matte paintings were painted in Photoshop, projected onto geometry in Nuke, rendered all passes individually from Nuke so the comp artist could composite and blend the matte painting passes with the effects passes.
