Senior Character Animator - Remote Freelance

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the director and other animators to produce high-quality animations for our characters.
• Collaborate with the director to conceptualize and previz shots and scenes across the film.
• Collaborate with the director to work out best ways of telling the story through animation.
• Provide feedback to the rigging team about our character rigs.
• Provide animation playblasts for review.
• Ensure timely delivery of animated shots, adhering to deadlines and studio standards.
• Liaise with upstream departments to minimize production bottlenecks.

Requirements:

• Expert knowledge of Maya.
• Strong skills in creating believable character animations.
• Experience working in a professional animation environment.
• Solid understanding of the VFX pipeline.
• Keen eye for shot design.
• Strong communication skills.

Remote Work Expectations: This role requires candidates to work with their own software and hardware setup. Luminairi will provide workflows for seamless collaboration and file exchanges.
