Together with the Technical Director I first tried to foresee every challenge that would come up during this project, then I listed every asset that would need a rig to animate. When the main character rig got done I tested it and communicated with the rigging team to address any issues that could come up during production. Then I made the previz for all the shots in this project following the provided animatic. I created every camera and set every Maya file with a basic layout in the scene before sending them to the freelance animators. I incorporated the animators into the studio's pipeline by giving them the necessary orientation. While the animators worked on their files I was always available for them to reach me in case their scene wasn't working properly or they were facing any particular challenges. I would also be constantly maintaining the pipeline structure and addressing production issues together with the Technical Director. After the freelance animators finished their contracts I would then get the files back, make sure the pipeline structure was ok, make any animation fixes required by the Animation Director and generate the files needed for the render team. I would also make any necessary still frames or animation tests.
