This was originally two separate shots that I had to splice together into a seamless move. As it was a full CG set piece, I had control of the camera as well, and was able to make the shot very dynamic by pulling away from the creature as he dived over the lip of the ravine.

I prevised this shot as well as animated it to final. The lesson here is never cheat your previs and expect someone else to clean it up. In this case it was me.
As a result of my cheating the previs this become a far more difficult shot than necessary. Totally my fault. A hard lesson, but a very good one to learn.

I prevised this entire sequence, and then was fortunate enough to also animate it. It was the hero trailer shot too.
I animated the scattering ducks too.

When I was prevising this shot I modeled and rigged some low res birds and thought it might be funny to scare the crap out of them as the Waterhorse burst out in the middle of the resting flock.
So I got to animate frightened ducks too, which was actually a lot of fun.

Once again I prevised the chase down the stairs sequence, and then did all of the animation on it.
I also had to work out a way of slowing down the dog, as I figured it would surely catch the creature. So I made him slip on the carpet. No animals were hurt in the making of this shot :)
