I had to animate the 3D character to match the plate. As you can see on the next sequence they added a dragon on the left shoulder

I had a footage of a plane with paratroopers, I cleaned the plate to remove the plane but keep the paratroopers.
Then I made a model of a plane, rendered in maya and comp all in after effects with an old effect movie.

First I tracked the camera.
Then I tracked both characters suit in all cameras, with that I had a representation in 3D space of the animation.
I used the points (like a motion capture process) then cleaned the curves and adjusted the animation to have the final result.
