A quick overview of some of the work I did for this movie.
0:06-0:16
We were a really small team working on this show, and worked very closely with the director and producers for look-dev and approvals. There was a lot of green screen, integration with matte paintings and cg, and of course one helluvalot of clean-up to do for every single shot.
0:59-1:06
This was a fun shot. There were around ten differently lit layers for the airship alone, so I was able to turn all the lights on and off individually without having to clean or paint anything. The shadows were classic hand-drawn animation, while the elephant/vacuum cleaner creature and the falling characters were shot as extra passes.
1:26-1:36
My first (and probably last) venture into the world of cgfx. The description of this shot was very vague. It should resemble some sort of transformation without actually having to morph the live action boy into the puppet. I modeled, rigged and animated some proxy geo and set up a simple TP sim for the sparkly particles. And that was that. :-)
2:23-2:33
All wrong contact data, by the way. But I'm much too lazy and this reel is much too old. :-) Thanks for watching, anyway.
