This was a tough shot for a fairly young animator, and I was very happy to be given the opportunity. I made sure I had other senior animators look at my work before I showed it in dailies. Learnt a great deal from this shot.

Kong and the cab are 100% key framed. I was given this shot, because I did another shot quickly and successfully - Taxi over Jakes' head (later in my reel)

This was another tough shot that is physically complicated. I got this because of my Cab Flip shot. Really happy about this one.

This is a pretty simple shot, and no creature work required. That said, I worked hard on this and got it out quickly, which then lead to two of my biggest shots on Kong - The Cab Flip, and The Car Toss.

These next couple of shots were pretty complex as I had to animate ropes, digi doubles pulling on the ropes as well as Kong being physically pull around. Great learning experience for me.

This was a really fun shot. I animated Kong's foot, all of the hero vines as well as Ann digi double. Good physical animation practice.

These next 3 shots were a lot of fun, and lot of hard work. I did numerous different variations of this action. Kong hitting once, hitting twice, getting bitten, then punching, or punching then getting kicked etc. Not easy! 100% key framed (inc vines)

Kong, tree stump and digi doubles on log all hand animated. The animation of the tree stump was then fed into a motion control rig that then animated an actual tree prop! That's movie magic!

These were my least favourite shots I did on Kong. It was the first time I worked with anim cycles and I did not at the time have to confidence to alter the cures as I wanted. I eventually deleted most of the cycles to create my own...
