Cloned: The Recreator Chronicles
VFX Supervisor.
This was a fun project, I was working for Jack Warner's Grandson. It created some obstacles because they didn't originally have a VFX Designer/Supe. So all the onset work was done via the phone. It required a great deal of patience and ability to explain set ups in simplified terms to insure they where shot correctly.

For this clip as they call them in Australia. We had the challenge of creating a child shooting a rifle and the objects being shot. Setting up and properly shooting the exploding elements That come into play at 1.07 of this reel.

This Music Video for Delta Goodrem - Believe again, was a massive project for the size of the company when we started this. I was heavily invovled in the design of the shots to match the set design and help create the minimal amount possible of physical set while gaining all the benefits of on set special effects interactions.

For this stop motion project I over saw and consulted on the shoot to insure 3d sets could properly be matched into the scenes shot on Green screen.

These are on set comps that show the basic set up for our VFX shots. Testing to make sure it all works before striking the sets. The final shots follows the on set reference comp This was MTV Music Video of the year in Australia in 2008.

These are the breakdowns of the Ghostwood - Red Version, music video. There is nothing more fun then blowing real stuff up on a shoot. Naturally this had to all be planned out for the practical shoot and then supervised to make sure they didn't make any last minute , wouldn't it be cool it, additions. Young directors can get a little excited.

In this Music video we are using a 3d motion capture rid to previs before going to set and just run the Camera from our 3d cameras. This allowed us to prevent problems while shooting with the expensive Juno crane.

This was an add for Sydney Radio station "The Zoo" It was fun and comical. Its about making sure the elements plates where properly shot to align with the practical shoot.

This was a whole series of Kia spots for the australian Market. Turn tables aren't much of a thing in Sydney and we had to use this flexing nightmare. We also couldn't shoot GS because it would have not graded well. The flex car frame made the tracks oddly tricky, but our team worked it out. The last few of this set where 3d CAD data from KIA.

These where GS shoot for for a Local Sydney BMW Dealer. Basic until you are working with Car Dealership that have no idea whats going on and you have to work them through the process.
2:19-2:22
Simple and fun shoot we did in house from start to finish. It ran during a music video show so they wanted it to look at feel that way. Simple but fun.
2:23-2:27
This Video for Blue Juice required working with Prosthetics. What was intended to be a simple wire gig turned into all VFX shots because non of the prosthetics worked. Luckly its all simple tracking and morphing to get them what they needed and not blow our own budget. I had a nice talk with our producer who thought this would work.

Tommy Trash Music Video. I worked with the young Kim Greenway on this clip to help her add a bit of interest to her video. Its was not a difficult set to work on.

PNAU - Wild Strawberries. This was great fun. Another stop motion project but mixing in the live action actor. It was my idea to have the spring set up to make sure we got a realistic plate comp in the stop motion characters.

I just supervised the comp work on this Yo GABBA GABBA animation done by Nick Donkin.

Simple fun job we did for Cathy Airlines. The waiter was GS. I made sure they added Gobo's to some of the lights to insure he would have shadow interactions as he walked off screen.

Hamdens - Asleep on the Lawn. This show was planned with a light weight swing rig. The safety supe said no must be this set up. I think we pulled it off nicely in the end.
