SERU Animation specialises in the production of cartoon and animated films and TV series. Under the leadership of founder and managing director Sebastian Runschke, SERU is responsible for the development, financing, creative management, control and implementation of all work steps within animation production. With its headquarters and creative base in Ludwigsburg and an independent creative team and studio in Hannover, SERU is a producer and partner from scriptwriting to cinema premier or broadcast with high quality standards. As the main studio responsible for the “Little Raven Sock”cinema films and cartoon series, the SERU team enchanted young and old with 39 magical episodes of the witch “Petronella Applewitch” in the channel KiKa last year and, after completing the work on the continuation of the Easter classic “Die Häschenschule – Der Große Eierklau” in co-production with Akkord Film and arx anima, nothing stands in the way of a hopefully successful cinema release. Work on the current project “Meine Chaosfee & ich” in co-production with Ella Film and Fabrique D‘Images is currently in full swing, while SERU is already deeply involved in the financing and preparation of the second cinema film from the Elfkin series: “Die Heinzels – Neue Mützen, Neue Mission” (AT). Social and environmental sustainability aspects are also of great importance at SERU, and a sustainability “Green Consulting” officer pays special attention to appropriate action across projects. By working on demanding film projects, continuously training employees and investing locally, SERU can today rely on a well-established and highly qualified team of permanent and freelance employees and, as a producer, initiate its own projects and win over external (co-)productions for the region.
