We’re looking for an experienced 3D Artist to join our Rust team to help us explore creating a range of content such as skins, props and structures. Candidates should have experience with all aspects of authoring 3D assets, a keen eye for detail, and a current portfolio of previous work demonstrating your abilities. Candidates should have strong self-motivation, the ability to work well in, and communicate with a team based both in the office and remotely. Familiarity with Rust is a plus.
An ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of asset creation including modelling, texturing and skinning. Working closely with established artists at the studio, you will be responsible for creating a wide variety of different assets from start to finish, with a focus on skins for existing and new items. Candidates should be familiar with working within sprints and adapting work to feedback.
Responsibilities
- Creation of new 3D assets ranging from props to clothing to weapons
- Creating skins of existing assets and working within their limitations
- Liaising with other team members and working to feedback
Requirements
- Expert in a 3D app (Blender, Max, Maya) and secondary apps like Zbrush, Marmoset Toolbag, Substance 3D Painter etc
- Strong modelling and texturing skills with a keen eye for detail
- Comfortable working from concept and without
- Knowledge of a variety of types of asset creation, from props to clothing to weapons
- The ability to work to requirements and budgets
- Author an asset through all stages of the creation pipeline
- To be able to work within a team and work to feedback
- The ability to learn new systems and workflows
- Experience working within a game engine and asset implementation
- Prior experience in a 3D art role within the games industry
