I've been making cartoons since 1996 as a director, supervising director, board artist, designer, and more. Everything from receiving a script through finishing an animatic, and occasionally going all the way through post. I specialize in complex action sequences but have handled just about everything else in 2D, CG, and Flash. Always looking for new ways to stretch my muscles!
Work History
Animation Director
Self Employed
December 1996 - Present
Hello there, cartoon comrade! I’ve been in the TV biz since 1996, jumping from one cool gig to
another, often directing and/or boarding for entire seasons. I’ve had healthy doses of action/adventure and comedy with several full-CG productions and few Flash shows in the roster. I’m
proficient in Photoshop and Storyboard Pro, available for either in-house or freelance positions.
As both a director and a supervising director, I have handled all aspects of production on
hundreds of episodes including artist training, managing freelancers, character/prop/BG design,
creating and editing animatics, working with timers & checkers, and more. I gained experience
working remotely many years before Covid arrived, directing a Canadian team from L.A. on
extremely complex Marvel projects, so long-distance communication is nothing new to me.
I specialize in complex, multi-layered productions and have yet to meet a deadline I cannot beat
into the ground. Give me a script, I’ll give you a show.
