Sorin studied at “Ion Mincu” Institute of Architecture in Bucharest where he graduated with a master’s degree In Architecture.
In 2002, building on the experience gained as an architect and running his own design and construction firm, he transferred his knowledge and skills into the film business as set designer and art director.
Here, he would use a mix of 3D modeling and rendering tools along with his old passion for drawing to develop and refine design ideas. His work would span from early concepts to elaborate illustrations and drawings, an always exciting journey of bringing visions of different times, worlds and spaces into existence.
He became part of a thriving industry, his credits including, among others, big budget features as: Pacific Rim, Robocop, Suicide Squad and Shazam.
He lives in Toronto, Ontario.
