Nearly fifteen years ago, I began my L.A. rigging career at Rhythm and Hues, and continued working in film for nearly a decade.
Movies are cool. They're exciting to work on, and there's a sense of pride in knowing that you were a part of something monumental. There is a constant push to create VFX that are both artistic and realistic. Quality is of highest priority.
When I made the transition to television, I discovered the pace was much faster; every week there is new villain, a new challenge on screen and off. Television demands movie quality, but without the development time or schedule…Which is why starting my career in the movie industry was so valuable. It allowed me to develop a skill-set and compile an arsenal of knowledge that enabled me to apply cinematic quality rigging to the fast-pace of television production.

I'm currently Head of the Character TD department @ Encore VFX. Our project load involves most of the super hero shows on television: Flash, Titans, Doom Patrol, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Black Lightning...basically, if it's on television, from the DC universe, and has super powers, either myself - or the team I lead - probably had a hand in rigging it.
