Who am I?
- A Visual Effects Supervisor, onset supervisor and VFX consultant with nearly 26 years of experience.
- A lover of stories and bringing them to the big screen and small.
- A Photographer, writer and developer in my own time.
- A Born problem solver and improver, with a very inquisitive, creative mind.
- An Engaging and charismatic person who loves to meet and enrol clients in doing business.
- The former Head of VFX at Goodbye Kansas. This has given me the experience and perspective of the
needs of a company from shows and what a VFX supe needs to do for the company.
- Someone who will speak up and point out issues, but importantly will present solutions and also listen
back.
- A passionate vfx nerd with extensive knowledge and understanding of the VFX process, from onset,
through ingest, editorial, production, CG, Comp and pipeline.
- The sort of person who is keen on talking to and understanding the roles and needs of everyone in that
process and making sure they get what they need to do their tasks as efficiently as possible.
What can I do for you?
- Bring nearly 26 years of experience and maturity in many areas from tent pole features to low budget
TV.
- Make sure projects run as effectively and efficiently as possible.
- Win new business.
- Work well with clients (even difficult ones). Working with them on their initial ideas, envisaging what
they want to achieve and with my extensive experience working out how to do so and stay in budget.
- Bring years of bidding experience, but also an understanding of the bidding process, the ramifications
and a drive to improve the process.
- Continue to improve how we do things. I’m constantly looking at how to do things better and more
efficiently. Looking at new technologies, ideas and skills and evaluating what we can get out of them.
- I’m a proven leader who wants to empower their team and work with them to deliver the project and
bring them on the journey with me. I bring an understanding of interpersonal, communication and team
leadership skills.
- I bring a process and production mindset to the role with an understanding and experience of fiscal
responsibility.
- When on set my extensive understanding of the vfx process and bidding allows me to make effective
judgment calls and also talk with the client about different ways to deliver what they want, even when
put on the spot.
- I’m also known for wearing hats, telling dad jokes and singing in dailies.
