I created the 'waterfall' of Komodo dragons behind the 5 in the front. Using POP Steer Path and POP Steer Obstacle in Houdini, the crowd was carefully tuned to pour down the causeway. It was tricky getting the crowd to look like they were covering the full platform while also making it through bottleneck areas in the set. As a final step, animations were carefully mirrored to create a fanned out look for the spears towards the front.

I was responsible for the angry mob around the Hauler vehicle and the physics and ragdoll for the knockback effect. The crowd is reacting physically to geometry animated in Maya via Golaem's behavior system. The ragdoll settings were carefully tuned for each character as well as the physical properties to achieve the desired look.
