This scene was supposed to be a rotoscoped shot. In the end we used the rotoscope as reference and ended up key framing the whole thing.

This shot was a combination of key framed animation and mocap. The mocap starts at .40 seconds and was edited to have more weight in the turns.

These gollum scene was originally all mocap. I ended up stripping keys from it and altering the poses so the moves had more weight and contact with the environment but primarily I animated gollum's face.

This scene was initially rotoscoped to the background plate. I stripped out the jitter and cleaned it up and animated the weight between the hands and the head. The fingers also needed to be carefully animated because the rabbit comp had a lot of bad holes in it. The face was fully animated.

This was a mocapped shot that needed to have keys stripped out and more weight added to the body as he backs up. The face is fully animated.

The watcher in the water and the troll shots were fully animated creatures. No rotoscoping or mocap used. I did have to use shake and cut out some mattes for the watcher scene to help create the top water surface to help sell the shot.

While at R&H I animated on a few talking animal movies. They would match move the bg plate with a face rig, and it would be my job to animate the animal talking.

I was only on the project for a few months before I was moved onto Babe 2, but in that time I got to work on my one and only spaceship battle! I split the shot up with another animator and animated the large ships and a few of the small ships.
