The Boss Baby
Matte Painting Compositor / Generalist
For Boss Baby my primary duty was to integrate "Fantasy" scenes into DreamWorks 3D stereo pipeline. The "Fantasy" shots were created in MODO 9 outside of proprietary 3D stereo pipeline. This required different approaches for a each shot because of the unorthodox approach of each MODO scene. Tasks included; optimizing geometry, paint fix and animation, scene translation from Vanilla NukeX to DWA pipeline NukeX, 2.5D camera projections and animations.

primary tasks setup camera based 2.5D projections as well as creating UV'd dome geometry for day and night time sky environments. Optimizing heavy modeling geometry, creating projection geometry. Animating clouds, star twinkle, meteors, pyroclastic plumes and flows, lava flows, fireballs & cloud lightning and lightning bolts, foliage. Integrating pre-renderd FX elements into the matte painting environments via camera projections.
