NOTABLE POSITIONS:
1) Senior Lighter. DREAMWORKS Animation studios, April 2022 - Present.
On my 4th feature film now at Dreamworks Animation, on my second stint. I do Lighting &
Compositing of shots. Houdini is the main lighting tool along with proprietary rendering
software. Nuke for composting. Total 10 years of experience at Dreamworks now!
2) Lighting Supervisor. ICON Creative Studio, Vancouver, BC -January 2022 - March 2022.
I am in charge of developing and delivering Lighting & Compositing of sequences for Episodic
work here. Is part of the core team developing key art to the final product. Guide lighting
teams achieve creative excellence as well as meet production milestones.
3) Senior Lighting Artist. SONY Pictures Imageworks, Vancouver, BC - February 2018 -
Nov 2021 (4 years approx) . Softwares used: Katana, Arnold & Nuke. Worked on seven
feature animation movies here. After my first movie, Small Foot, Sony gave me an
appreciation award for Outstanding Performance.
4) Lead Lighting Artist. DREAMWORKS Animation studios, Bangalore - October 2008 –
January 2017 (8 years 3 months). Softwares used: Light, Torch & Nuke. As a lead lighter I had
to create light rigs, comp templates and match the look to key art provided by the Art director. I
had to propagate the rig to the entire sequence and guide the lighting team in achieving set
results consistently. Lead the team creatively and at the same time solve technical issues.
5) Lighting Artist. Prana Studios, Mumbai - March 2007 – September 2008 (1 year and 7
months). I started as a Lighting artist and became a sequence lead. This was the place that
really shaped my skill set and career as a Lighting artist. Softwares used: Maya, Renderman
and Digital Fusion.
