I am the FX Supervisor for the Vancouver studio. I do tool development, capture tools and tech from shows for international use, training, recruitment, ensure cross-facility standards are known, documentation, technology research and development, liaise with the Global FX Supervisor and the FX team in the London head office and probably a lot more that I've forgotten at the moment. Mostly using Houdini.
