Paolo Cogliati is an award winning 3D Animator, Director and Artist currently based in Manhattan, NY.

Past work includes creating and directing the multi-award winning short film Serial Taxi, animating on the Oscar nominated feature film The BoxTrolls, and working on big-budget advertising at The Mill New York for clients such as Progressive, Valspar, Coca Cola, GEICO and many others. He has also had the opportunity to work on a total of three high-end VR commercials.

Paolo was recently a lead animator on commercials such as Shick Hydro Robot 2.0, Country Crock Imagination , SeaWorld Mako Coaster and Bell Star Wars.

On the side, Paolo led an outsourced team to create AniRef, an industry specific app to aide animators in their process, currently used in various productions and schools, aswell as the partner website tool Anilyzer — to simplify media analysis for animation reference.

Paolo attended Ringling College of Art and Design, graduating top 10 via the Best of Ringling selection, and attended Gobelins l’ecolee de l’image in Paris. Paolo is trained as a generalist, but is specialized as a character animator.

Conceptualized, designed and led production to completion to create AniRef, an animation reference app for iPhones and Android. Currently developing multi-platformed functions and building brand.

Hired and led a team of 2 developers between three different time-zones, leading the project to completion while mantaining its budgetary and time constraints intact. Effectively merged the design and code task aspects to create a unified, functioning, and multi-tested app to aid the animation pipeline.
