My goal as a Visual Effects Artist in Film/TV and Games, is to create dynamic systems and simulations that are rooted in physics but push the boundaries of imagination. I have an educational background in physical geography, environmental and atmospheric sciences, and anthropology; all of which has helped me be more analytical and continues to sharpen my eye as an artist. I have also earned a diploma in Visual Effects with Honours, and am constantly working on building my technical skills and problem solving abilities.

Effects include: water simulations for “Edge of Tomorrow”, R&D wedge testing for space destruction, smoke, particles, and Thermionic effects for “Jupiter Ascending”; rbd and nCloth for "Dracula Untold"; creature fx for "Paddington" doing fur and nCloth; particle fireworks and clouds using Houdini; and used Maya for cg plants in Jungle Book: Origins

    I used Houdini to create effects for shots on "Percy Jackson: The Sea of Monsters" [2013]. I worked on shots that required wet maps, heat haze, embers, and dust hits and ground footprint debris. I used particle fluids, pyro solvers, volumes, and rbd systems to achieve these effects.

I used nParticles and volumes to create pixie dust and 'Magic Freeze', In addition, I also used Nuke for FX composites, and Houdini to do some R&D and testing.

    - Wedge tested RBD destruction tools during the initial bidding/RND stage of the project
    - Created embers and ambient smoke using volumetric systems, particles, and sprites in Houdini
    - Orchestrated particle emission to articulate specified art direction of embers which were sourced from volume caches, geometry and pointclouds
    - Used Nuke to slap comp elements with live action plate to submit to dailies
    - Worked closely with compositors to meet tight deadlines
