My current role covers 3D Environments, Texturing, Lookdev/ Lighting & DMP which includes :
- Assembling and Layout of CG cameras. Solving spherical and anamorphic distortion issues. Building and lining-up set geometry to appropriate world scales for camera lineup & layout.
- Environment and Props Modelling/Retoplogizing/UVing using Maya, Headus UV Layout.
- Texturing assets using MARI, Generating appropriate maps for Lookdev.
- Using Agisoft Photoscan & traditional photogrammetry to reconstruct & build CG environments for Digital Matte Painting/CG/2D using onset photography. Texture extraction and cleanup for re-projection in Nuke.
- Lookdev/Shader Setup and Texture assembly in Arnold.
- Shot-lighting using SolidAngle Arnold. Setting up appropriate AOVs required by 2D.
- Using SpeedTree to create vegetation to populate Environments.
- Stitching HDR panoramas using PT GUI from bracketed photography. Artifact and rig cleanup in Nuke.

Matchmove & Layout Lead

Thorough knowledge of the overall stereoscopic matchmove pipeline :-
- Assembling and troubleshooting CG cameras & scenes.
- Liaising with heads of departments and problem solving potential issues, asset generation for matchmove, rigging and caching roto-animation and cameras.
- Using Agisoft Photoscan to build environments to be passed onto DMP using onset photography.
- Working closely with Pipeline TD's to build newer and more robust tools.
Overseas Training :
- Travelling to overseas sites and help setting up and training the department on the tools and workflows.
- Quality controlling, tasking, remotely-handling and overseeing progress of the overseas outsourced work coming back into the pipeline.
On-Set Matchmove Lead :
Primarily at Pinewood Studios, Liaising with the VFX Supervisor & leading the tracking team, gathering vital information (bracketed reference photography for modeling, HDRI's for set reconstruction and set measurements, building 3D Equalizer & Maya masterscenes which then gets referenced by all the artists to solve shots.
