Jack Frost

Born and raised in Switzerland, Natasha is a Technical Director in VFX for movies (mostly at Industrial Light + Magic/Lucasfilm), with a specialty in Lighting and Look Development. Since 2018, her background and expertise in Textile and Fashion Design, both digitally and in real life, have brought her to collaborate on the development of avatars in immersive experiences, which led to 3 years at Meta where her expertise in textiles was key to various researches on virtual textile reconstruction (as in fiber and textile structures) and garment reconstruction for simulation and all-inclusive grading. Virtual Textile and Costume Design is what she's currently focusing on.
Her movie credits include several Star Wars, Transformers, Harry Potter and Marvel movies. She holds a Master's Degree in Computer Graphic from ECAL (Lausanne, Switzerland), as well as a degree in Education and a background in Fashion Design.

    - developed tools to reconstruct textile's 3D structures (knits and weaves), used as basis to various research project on surface-based Cloth Appearance Models
    - reconstructed garments for research on draping and realistic look development, as well as grading for all-inclusive models
