Marcus is a Technical Animator with more than 9 years of production experience in feature film, TV and commercials.

With a solid Computer Science and arts background, he easily interfaces between the technical and artistic side. He has done extensive shot work and development for cloth, hair, RBD and crowds.

Depending on the production schedule, he has scripted quick prototypes of tools, automated I/O data handling between applications, and wrote fully featured plugins to bridge gaps in the pipeline and make artists’ work more efficient.

    Deployed Maya plugins and general Linux tools to the studio pipeline and provided support throughout their lifecycle, including updates that further benefited the productions.

    Lead cloth/crowds development and interfaced with animation and lighting for clean hand-offs through hectic schedules.

    Integrated Massive into studio's maya/mentalray-centric character animation pipeline. Authored python and bash scripts to move animation back and forth from Massive to Maya as needed. Kept integrity between modeling output and render input without either department having to adapt their core workflow.
