I was with the Mill for 10 years and in that time I had the chance to apply and develop my skills working with some of the best artists in the industry. Starting as a junior artist and working my way up to leading jobs, I enjoyed the challenges that came with the responsibility; overseeing other 3D artists, working with other departments, communicating with directors and clients, and supervising shoots during production. I have also occasionally taken the opportunity to work on short film projects outside of work which has been hugely enjoyable and has given me the chance to oversee projects from initial designs right up to the final grade. I loved the variety that working in commercials involved and after 10 years I felt it was a good time for a new challenge. I was then with DNeg for 2 years and really enjoyed the differences that come with working in TV and film. I have now been freelancing for a while and have enjoyed the varied opportunities it brings. I feel very lucky to work in an area I enjoy so much and this gives me great enthusiasm and commitment in what I do, and whatever project I work on next.
