My name is Liviu and I am a visual effects artist.
The first spark that ignited my passion for visual effects was seeing Terminator 2 and later Jurassic Park with my parents at the cinema. From there on i knew i had to get involved in this field one way or the other.
In college, my graduation thesis was Human Motion Capture System using inertial MEMS sensors. The technical education, from programming, mathematics, physics to electronics, everything helped me develop a fast and confident problem-solving attitude in every aspect of the CGI pipeline.
I have worked at various studios in Romania and abroad gathering experience and knowledge along the way. Working in different environments, helped me understand how and why some approaches needed to be avoided, while others gives you the upper hand in the vfx production.
The passion, skill and experience pushed me to start this journey of making a VFX studio that would deliver quality visual effects at an international standard. A journey that is just beginning.
The VFX studio i co-founded is called StaticVFX Studio and is a talent driven animation and visual effects studio based in Bucharest, Romania servicing commercial, TV and film clients locally and internationally.
