  As a Board member, I played a role in promoting the VES London Chapter, our roles and responsibilities included:
  Attending monthly meetings with fellow Board members to plan Section activities.
  Participating in Board Meeting discussions, and volunteering for action items.
  Being responsible for an event/activity (in my case screenings when possible and virtual team building events for the members during the pandemic).
  Assisted with fundraising and sponsorship efforts to bolster Section activities.
  Promoted the efforts of the VES and gave recognition to the art of visual effects in all arenas and the professionals who create it.
  Encouraged new members to apply, to avail of the networking events, educational events and screenings.
  Supported the expansion of local membership in the UK and how that might encompass VFX members in Northern Ireland and in the Republic of Ireland to foster a stronger sense of community.
  Acted as representative of the VFX community by liaising with government, media and industry peer groups (guilds and associations).
