When I started out in the industry there was little to nothing available in terms of education and degrees specific to the world of CGI. What skills and chops I have today, from working on shots using a range of packages to writing pipeline and application code, I learned and developed on the job, simply because I needed to at the time. Because of the rapid rise of CGI and the shift to 3D animation in the industry each new job I took during the 90s and early 00s was like jumping head first into the deep end of the pool. A fun journey overall!
