Moggey Ltd was originally founded in 2004 by brothers James and Phillip Van der Reyden to complement the technical Motion Capture and 3D modelling VFX work they do at Weta FX.
Our vision is to experiment, to go crazy and play with written story ideas and concepts, anywhere along the spectrum between the ridiculous to traditional storytelling.
In 2018, My brother and I completed a feature length film. Titled "BEANZ", it is an oddball comedy drama intended as a long term side project, produced over the course of around 17 years. It was a challenging, fun and practical insight into film-making and storytelling experimentation.
I have also been an event photographer for the Rhythm and Vines new years music festival over a four year period from 2008 - 2011.
Other notable mentions over the past decade have included promo "viral video" animation work for the Sandwiches Summerset music festival in 2006 and 2007, as well as the creation of animated content for a live music performance project with music producer Freq Nasty, titled "The Video Nasty Experience", which he played at Glastonbury in 2005.
