The VFX Supervisor is responsible for the management and execution of all visual effects for a project, from start to finish. 

They work closely with the Director and Producer to ensure that the vision for the project is achieved, while also staying within the budget and schedule. The VFX Supervisor oversees a team of VFX Artists and is responsible for their performance, as well as the quality of the work. They must be able to think creatively and problem-solve, as well as have strong communication and leadership skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with the Director and Producer to ensure that the vision for each project is achieved within the given budget and timeframe.
• Oversee a team of VFX artists, managing workloads and deadlines while ensuring the highest possible level of quality.
• Work closely with other Supervisors (such as Animation, Lighting, and Compositing) to ensure smooth integration of all VFX elements.
• Create storyboards and concept art to visualize the desired effects for each shot.
• Generate detailed reports documenting the work completed by the VFX team on each project.
• Keep abreast of new software developments and techniques, and implement them where appropriate.
• Manage the VFX budget for each project, ensuring that costs are kept within the allocated limits.
• Liaise with clients to understand their specific requirements and deliverables.
• Attend client meetings and pitches, as required.
• Deliver feedback and direction to the VFX team on a daily basis.
• Review all work completed by the team before it is submitted to the client.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on time and to the required standard.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 5 years experience in the VFX industry
• Proven experience as a supervisor on feature films or similar projects
• Extensive knowledge of VFX workflows, software, and techniques
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Creative problem-solving ability
