As the Rigging Supervisor for Monstrous Mia, you'll lead a team of skilled rigging artists, providing feedback and guidance. Collaborating with the asset & animation supervisor, you'll determine rig requirements and ensure rigorous testing for seamless integration into the pipeline. While overseeing the artists, you'll also have opportunities to dive in and personally tackle challenging issues as they arise.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the entire rigging process from assessment of requirements to the final version of the rig
• Know your team and assign tasks to the right artist
• Set up realistic timeframes with the production team
• Communicate potential delays and come up with creative solutions
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate needs to your team of artists
• Provide the necessary feedback and create a comfortable & effective working environment for your team
• Manage the Rigging team to develop rigs to Feature Film quality.
• Support the Animation Department with shot specific technical issues.
• Communicate with the Pipeline TDs and the Animation Supervisor to create and sustain rigging scripts and animation tools

Qualifications:

• At least 3+ years of proven supervisory experience in feature animation and/or visual effects
• Excellent knowledge of technologies and techniques concerning animation and character rigging.
• Ability to adapt to varying production demands and shifting priorities
• Ability to organize and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
• Team-spirit and great communication skills
• Strong portfolio proving experience in full CG productions
• Passionate about Anatomy & Rigging 
• Hands-on experience as a Rigger 
• Ability to delegate and empower your team.
