Refuge – Production Coordinator

In the land of craft beer, craft coffee, and craft doughnuts, we craft the visual effects of film and television, using tools of science to create pieces of art. Refuge is a CG-focused visual effects studio in Portland, OR; a self-styled “Monster Shop,” specializing in the creation of creatures, FX, and the world building that bring these shows to life.

To help get us there, we need a skilled production team to keep this machine well-oiled and humming along. Refuge is currently seeking an organizationally minded Coordinator to be the Swiss-army knife that the production and creative teams depend on every day.

RESPONSIBILITES:

* Coordinate IO of all production related materials and documents for assigned projects and maintain a well-organized project folder structure.

* Facilitate active communication between the production, creative, and client teams.

* Schedule dailies meetings both in-studio and via Zoom and take detailed notes.

* Track and manage statuses of shots, assets, and tasks using the Autodesk Shotgrid tracking software.

* Coordinate shot and asset deliveries to clients and vendors.

* Collaborate with VFX Producers and Supervisors to determine the scope of vendor outsource work orders, bid them out, and track their progress.

* Help maintain up-to-date process documents for a standardized studio production pipeline and to aid in training future hires.

This position is primarily on-site, where fast-moving information can be easily exchanged with and absorbed from the core team. Ideal candidates live in Portland and are willing to train and work at the studio.

We are a compact studio, and our teammates wear all kinds of hats. Our ideal Coordinator candidate:

* actively listens and processes relevant information from high volume email traffic, maintaining a thorough working knowledge of ongoing projects.

* pays close attention to fine detail.

* communicates urgent information quickly, calmly, and clearly, both verbally and in writing.

PREFERRED PROFICIENCIES:

* Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook and Excel

* Shotgrid Asset Tracking Software
