3D Animator

Superplastic is seeking an experienced, badass 3D Animator to help our character-based toy and entertainment company. Superplastic creates original characters and turns them into virtual celebrities. We also collaborate with famous artists and premier brands making the world’s most sought-after toys, streetwear, and other innovative products.

Responsibilities include:

• Work with the Art Directors to Develop, maintain, and create animations for all of Superplastic's platforms.
• Work with Leads to ensure timely completion of character assets at the desired quality bar.
• Takes direction from team/show lead and demonstrates initiative in brainstorming ideas.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in CG character animation in a production.
• Strong examples showing character animation and understanding of pantomime.
• Solid understanding of traditional drawing printables and pantomime acting.
• Production experience using Autodesk Maya.
• Experience with Motion Capture.
• Able to effectively collaborate with all Teams.
• A passion for animation.

Pluses:

• Experience in FX and particle animation
• 2D animation skills
• Cinematic or television animation experience
• Skill in one of more related disciplines – illustration, modeling, rigging or technical art.
