38 Studios was an American entertainment and IP development company founded in 2006 by Major League Baseball pitcher Curt Schilling. Bestselling author R.A. Salvatore and Todd McFarlane were also part of the creative team. I was hired in 2010 as Director of Cinematics and promoted to Vice President of Creative Development in 2011. The company shut down in May of 2012.
As VP of Creative Development, I provided creative oversight and direction for Cinematics, IP development and Creative Services.

Co-founded the company and was involved in all aspects of growing the company from a startup to a studio with offices in the US and Shanghai, China. Worked closely with the Art Director to develop the visual style for FireFall, the studios yet to be released MMO title. Recruited, hired and managed a AAA art staff. Researched and developed the 3D art production pipeline. Reviewed and approved all 3D art, animation and visual fx.

Developed the practices and pipeline, recruited and hired talent and played a key role in the development of cinematics for all Blizzard franchises. Involved in all phases of production: screenwriting and storyboarding, pre-production and production, art direction, editing, music and sound design. Personally directed cinematics for StarCraft, StarCraft: Brood War, Diablo II, World of WarCraft, StarCraft: Ghost and Diablo III.
