I'm Gregory Peczinka, a French and Canadian Visual Effects Supervisor with more than 2 decades in the industry, working in various VFX places all over the world, for commercials, live-action movies, and TV series.
I spent around 6 years in France working on AAAA commercials in the most exciting VFX places in Paris. Then moved to UK for 5 years - London city, working exclusively on live action movies, starting at Framestore CFC and finishing this round at Cinesite without forgetting MPC. Ten years ago, I landed in Canada - Montreal downtown, where I decided to take things more in hands. My extensive experience in this field has helped me develop a comprehensive skill set in all aspects of CG, enabling me to focus increasingly on the global creative guidance of teams throughout a project from the outset. As you will see from my attached demo reel, I still continue to work hard on having the technical expertise, creativity, and leadership skills required to excel in this position. At WeFX, I work closely with all departments on pipeline improvement and development, attend daily sessions with all members of the team regularly to provide feedback and approvals, and undertake a daily review of assets and work in progress. I am also responsible for designing and implementing the creative direction of each shot and sequence and providing evaluations of all 3D and 2D artists. My previous work experience includes working as a DFX Supervisor and Computer Graphics Supervisor for MPC, Monsters Aliens Robots Zombies, Pixomondo, Real by Fake, Mr. X, Mikros Animation, and FX Dpt Manager for Digital Dimension Entertainment Group. My passion and dedication to this industry have enabled me to keep up with the latest technology and software, making me an asset to any company. I can work well under pressure, prioritize and multitask while meeting strict deadlines. I also keep working hard on having fast and precise communication skills that enable me to work collaboratively with team members, clients, and stakeholders. As a leader, my professional achievement can only pass by the success of my team, and thus the personal realization of each individual of the team. Work closely with all departments on pipeline improvement and development
Attend daily sessions with all members of the team on a regular basis to give feedbacks and approvals
Ensure that all work carried out on the show fits within MPC's pipeline where possible
Undertake daily review of assets and work in progress
Design and implement the creative direction of each shot and sequence
Provide on-going training and evaluation of all 3D and 2D artists
Work closely with the VFX Producer to ensure an accurate production schedule is set up and maintained
Active member of the sales team for the Pitching and Presentations in regards to potential VFX work
Part of the bidding stages, assessing shots and completing shot breakdowns
Ensure clients’ visions are met by constantly improving upon the their requirements
