  • Character Department Lead: Lost Planet 3

    Spark Unlimited

    January 2010 - August 2013
    Spark Unlimited

As the Character Lead, I was responsible for staffing the character department for Lost Planet 3. I also work with our game producer and Art Manager to keep us on budget and on schedule. I helped set up our character pipelines with our Character Technical Director. I also worked closely with our Art Director to provide art direction for our internal and external artists. I mentored and managed our character art team giving performance reviews and setting them on career development tracks.

As a strong 3-D generalist, I also contribute to the game directly by modeling and texturing Characters, Creatures, as well as hard edge models such as vehicles, and weapons.

  • Art Manager

    Spark Unlimited

    January 2009 - January 2010
    Sherman Oaks

I staffed our art team for a AAA project, putting together key hires: Art Director, Outsourcing Manager, Character Artists, Environment Artists, FX artists etc. I worked with the producer to create the schedule for all the art assets. I also facilitated creating all art pipelines and how they interacted with the other departments for clear communication. I mentored and managed Lead Artists and gave performance reviews.
I worked with the Art Director to set up our Art Bible, and specs for all art assets for internal and external use.

During production, I gave art direction and helped facilitate outsourced assets.

As a strong 3-D generalist, I also contribute to the game directly by modeling and texturing Characters, Creatures, as well as hard edge models such as vehicles, and weapons.
