Sole Gameplay/Cinematic Animator on The Ascent.
- Planned and recorded the animations using an Xsens suit.
- Directed the actors during the motion capture sessions in-house/off-site.
- Cleaned and implemented all the animation data using motion capture and keyframing techniques.
- Created all facial animations using Faceware automated facial generation.
- Created all the animation blueprints/cinematics in Unreal Engine 4 for the player/NPC/AI/Civilians.
- Set up the majority of the character rigs/skins.
- Set up the tools/pipeline for Motionbuilder/Maya.
- Created all the living world animations for NPCs (people talking, smoking, drinking, living in general)
- Set up interaction points that AI could go to and play one-off animations.
- Created custom spawn animations for the enemies (jump over railings, crawl out from narrow spaces, jump off vehicles etc.)
- Created a panic system for the civilians.
