I have created videos to help victims of domestic abuse.
I have taught crucial storytelling techniques to national journalists.
I have organized an entire live-band karaoke performance of Jesus Christ Superstar.
What do these things have in common? They communicate to an audience. Sometimes the message is ”Let’s have a good time,” sometimes it’s ”Buy my product,” and sometimes the message is simply ”You are not alone.”
My name is Eric, and I know how to communicate with people.
Work History
Motion Graphic Designer / Voice Over Artist
Sabu Design
March 2011 - Present
As a one-person show, it would be easy to portray my job as flying solo all the time. But that couldn't be further from true. I am grateful for, and rely upon, the collaboration with my clients for creative decisions, and often simply catching up before diving into work talk. It's my pleasure to work with good people, take inspiration from the talent that surrounds me, and welcome each new opportunity to learn and grow when a project's demands seem juuuust outside my comfort zone.

Lead Animator
Bent Image Lab
2005 - December 2011
As lead animator it was my responsibility to ensure that the animation our team contained unique performances that brought characters to life in a believable way, and that the animation maintained a superb level of finesse and polish.
In addition, it was my responsibility to ensure that each animator had the assets they needed to perform their tasks, were clear about the direction they had been given from the director, and to relay client comments in a direct and clear manner.
In short, I kept the team focused on the animation while providing a support and communication that never let the team feel out of the loop.
