I’ve been around the animation block a few times—starting back in the early 90s when I had the chance to work with Softimage. We didn’t just tweak how visual effects and animation were done; we turned the whole thing on its head.
After that, I took my talents to the U.S., where I ended up working on some pretty big projects, including a solid run at Walt Disney Feature Animation during the Disney Renaissance (yeah, that one). It was an amazing ride, but eventually, I felt it was time to bring all that know-how back to Canada.
Once back home in the mid-2000s, I jumped into various local and international productions, helping bring 16 animated full-length features to life. Then in 2016, I co-founded nGenious Studio and took on the role of president. We had a good run until Tonic DNA came knocking in 2023, and well, the rest is history.
Oh, and when I’m not geeking out over animation, I own a small resort on an even smaller island—Isle-aux-Grues, population 110. Les Maisons du Grand Héron is my little slice of paradise, where I get to host guests and enjoy life off the grid.
