I'm originally from the Pacific North-West, and I've been a part of making visual fx films since 2007, where I started as an apprentice at Rhythm and Hues Studios. Since then I've worked on over 30 titles, I have worked on many of Wētā’s major projects across The Planet of the Apes franchise and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

More recently, working as an Animation Sequence Supervisor on She-Hulk: Attorney at Law was a career highlight for me, getting to represent animation and character performances, technical as well as aesthetic, to the client and VFX Supervisor. The team set a new bar for digital main characters carrying a whole show for which I am very proud.

In my younger years I found inspiration in some of the stop-motion greats like Ray Harryhausen, "Clash of the Titans" and Will Vinton’s stop-motion titles but also from movies like Akira and MTV’s Liquid Television.

Feedback from some of my students:

"I really enjoy the Q&As;. Also he shows very interesting shot breakdowns of his work and explains us how something is made from the beginning to the final shot. His e-critiques are very clear and his explanation helps me to understand why it's wrong."

"having the extra feedback was really nice and important to learn from, giving specific tasks to improve on. You can tell he's very passionate about animation, just like us! It was wonderful to have him as my mentor"
