Since early 2014, Dirk has been working as a Storyboard & Beat Board artist focusing on feature animation. He is based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, where he works out of his home studio.
Clients since include studios like Aardman Animation, Axis, ON Animation, Lightbridge Entertainment, STX Animation and ZAG Entertainment.
Besides his work as a story artist he is the founder of storybeard.net.
An online digital ‘bookshelf' he created to document and share his passion and interest on the subject of story, storyboarding and writing.
Life is a big inspiration in his story work and over the past years he has self-published 3 books that document his observational drawings from life.
