When Dexter Smith won first place in the Boy's Club Juvenile Art competition in Waterville Maine, his art career was born. Since going to several colleges to sharpen his skills, Smith has worked in animation production at major Hollywood animation studios on numerous Emmy award winning animated television shows for more than 20 years. Dexter Smith has been a member of the Motion Picture Animation Union Journeymen Local 839 since 1991, and throughout his career as a production designer, he has also worked an art director as well.
