During my seven year tenure, I was responsible for developing and building the animation department from the ground up at TinyCo/Jam City. When I first joined, we had a staff of two 2D animators, which eventually grew to a team of over 25+ 2D and 3D animators.
In addition, I managed and oversaw outsourcing animation when needed, giving direction and feedback to studios and leads remotely.
I created and established a production pipeline for both the 2D and 3D animation departments. By working closely with the art and engineering teams, together we developed a seamless, efficient process for the creation and implementation of all game animations.
I acted as liaison between our high profile IP owners in order to maintain their high technical and creative standards, as well as concept and oversee celebrity appearances in our animation. Prior to that, I helped TinyCo develop original IP content for their early titles.
I oversaw and managed animation for multiple games and their respective animation leads. I handled recruitment and hiring of new animators, while mentoring the junior, intermediate and senior animation staff through critique and feedback.
