I knew then that I wanted to be a Renaissance Man. During my primary and high school years I took as many classes as I could in art, drafting and music. I wanted to do it all. But I final chose fine art as it was my deepest calling.
After graduating from the University of Michigan with a BFA I worked for the School of Art before moving to California to pursue my MFA at San Diego State University. Upon completing my studies I got involved in Digital Visual Effect in1996.
In my 29 years of working in the post production visual effects industry I have had the pleasure of working on both blockbuster movies and independent films. I have enjoyed working at two of the industry leading optical house, Cinema Research Corporation and Howard Anderson, I was in charge of scanning the film for the digital department and running the camera that printed the digital file back on to film. The transition from film to digital cinematography was a fascinating time. Over the years I have had to learn 13 different compositing software packages. I am efficient in both Nuke and After Effects the industry standard software.
