During her doctoral in Global Leadership at Pepperdine University, Chianti delved into the role of empathy in female leadership. As she embarked on her dissertation, she felt compelled to broaden her perspective to encompass leadership qualities across all genders.
Around this time, the use of psychedelics was beginning to gain momentum among Silicon Valley's innovative thinkers, where these substances were leveraged not for therapeutic use but for enhancing leadership performance and capabilities.
Recognizing an uncharted potential for the performance use of psychedelics, she determined to explore the role of psychedelics in leadership development. Despite the lack of established literature connecting these two areas, Chianti was undeterred. The scarcity of peer-reviewed studies on the cognitive benefits of psychedelics did not deter her; rather, she saw it as an opportunity to blaze a trail.
Chianti's groundbreaking journey into 'psychedelic leadership' has been marked by obstacles, not least of which was the slow pace of scientific research publication. Nevertheless, her efforts have culminated in the establishment of 'The Psychedelic Way' - This innovative coaching business leverages research-based evidence to assist entrepreneurs and CEOs in achieving peak performance through the integration of psychedelic practices as a way of life, with or without plant medicine.
Chianti is slated to present her research and preliminary findings at global psychedelic and research conferences. As the first woman to investigate the performance use of psychedelics in a leadership context, her groundbreaking work continues to shape and challenge the understanding of leadership.
